WHO + SHORT BIOS
ARGE einwandaufbruch = constant work in progress = work as a collective
ARGE einwandaufbruch is an Austrian artist collective founded in 2016 by Heide Aufgewekt, Josef Danner and Georg Lebzelter.
Their collaborative pieces are designed as work in progress, expandable and adaptable in terms of content and space. As starting point often serve media text / image fragments, pictograms and collages. They work foremost with large-scale prints. |
ARGE einwandaufbruch explore the complex relation of signs, text and space, the flowing boundaries between writing, static and moving images.
Graphics for them = a laboratory of signs, a means of agitation, as well as socio-political, provocative and poetic punctuation. |
ARGE einwandaufbuch is very sad to announce that our partner and beloved friend Josef Danner has died on the 5th of December 2020.
He lost his long battle against cancer. His loss is tremendous and Josef can never be replaced.
Nevertheless, ARGE einwandaufbruch will continue to exist, as Josef Danner wanted ARGE einwandaufbruch to continue using graphic elements from his vast digital archive.
